Anyone have any suggestions on quality shops for minor paint repair as pictured? I wish I had caught the guy, as his blood may have been a decent match :x

That sucks.

For something that small, you could always go to maaco.

damn. i would have killed someone.

i was parked in walmart one time, and i had pulled all the way through, so i would pull straight out of the parking spot. when i came outside, this fucking big truck had literally parked on top of my rear bumper. no damage. but still. ridiculous. i waited for them to come out. haha.

I was thinking about that, since they are in walking distance. Are they respectable for minor repaints, since their full repaints have a bad rep?

Man, that sucks. I fear that everytime I park somewhere.

And Maaco can do a decent job, depending on where you go and what grade you get. There's always bruces. Either way, that's not too hard for someone who does it often, so they shouldnt mess it up. Good luck.

Glad to hear that the rep is not completely founded, as your car looks damn good.

Yeah, they are hit and miss. I also got my front fender of the 88NA>T I had painted by them and it turned out very good. With the right people or motivation they can do a decent job. They have on my cars anyway.

I went by Maaco Friday and they tried a quick buff, which did not work out as it is too deep. In order for them to paint it they would have to repaint the entire rear end of the car, since it is one piece. It only costs around $250, but I do not feel comfortable having half the car painted when the paint still looks great, so I am going to try some touch up paint.

Yeah, dont blame you on that. It'll be hard to get the new area to match even with your paint looking so good because of fading. They did the whole front quarter of the 88 in burgundy, but it had just been painted a few months before so it looked good.
